Originally from France and based in Quebec since 2020, Benoît Gaillard has quickly established himself as one of the province’s strongest trail runners. Passionate about long-distance racing and technical terrain, he thrives on challenging courses where endurance, race management, and experience make all the difference.

Benoît first discovered Quebec’s trail network during his participation in the 2020 Ultra-Trail Harricana du Canada (UTHC). The rugged beauty of Charlevoix, its technical trails, and the unique atmosphere of the event left a lasting impression on him and sparked a deep connection with Quebec trail running.

After several seasons focused on UTMB World Series events, whose schedules often overlapped with UTHC weekend, Benoît is excited to return to Charlevoix and reconnect with one of the most authentic and demanding trail races in Quebec. His experience on some of the world’s most prestigious ultra-trail events, combined with his knowledge of Quebec’s terrain, makes him an athlete to watch.
