For Catherine Cormier, the best FKT will always be the “Funniest Known Time.” At 40, this passionate long-distance runner isn’t chasing victories — she runs to go far, push her limits and, above all, have fun along the way.
Her trail-running story began at the UTHC 80 km in 2023. Since then, the adventures have grown longer: QMT 135 km, Transgrancanaria 126 km and, of course, the UTHC 125 km. After a DNF in 2024, Catherine returned the following year to settle some unfinished business, crossing the finish line after 25 hours and 19 minutes. The very next day, she was back on course volunteering as an aid station captain.
More than anything, Catherine embodies the community spirit of running. She leads the Les Citrons pressés running club, is involved with 6AM Cap-Rouge and runs a club at her school to get young people moving. She also takes part in numerous athletic and fundraising initiatives.
An ambassador for healthy, active living and for women in ultra-running, Catherine returns to the 125 km with the same philosophy: celebrate everyone’s effort, embrace the adventure and keep smiling for as long as possible.
