Marilou Tanguay

  • Will participate in UTHC 80 Race details
  • Sex : Woman
  • Country : Canada

For Marilou Tanguay, UTHC is much more than a race. This is where she discovered trail running in 2021, when she took on the 65 km alongside her father. That first experience quickly turned into a true passion, and she hasn’t missed an edition since.

At 26, the nurse represents a new generation of women finding their place in trail running, both as athletes and engaged members of the community. At UTHC, Marilou has raced the 65 km multiple times, finished 6th in the 80 km in 2023, and has also volunteered as a member of the event’s medical team.

Her commitment extends well beyond the trails of Charlevoix. Through the Fondation du Père Sablon’s Étudiants dans la course program, she volunteers to support youth aged 14 to 17 through months of training toward their first marathon. She also loves encouraging, pacing and crewing for other runners as they pursue their own goals.

After serving as a featured ambassador for the UTHC 65 km in 2025, Marilou returns in 2026 to take on the 80 km, bringing the same energy and desire to share her passion. She embodies a vision of trail running built not only around pushing limits, but also around community, inclusion and supporting more women in the sport.
