For Nathan Lachapelle, running is much more than a sport—it is a passion passed down from his father and nurtured since childhood. Drawn to wide-open spaces, mountains, and forest trails, he quickly found in trail running a unique way to challenge himself while escaping the noise and pressures of everyday life.
Over the years, Nathan has steadily pushed his limits, progressing from 1 km races to 125 km ultramarathons in just a decade. His journey reflects discipline, perseverance, and a constant desire to improve. For Nathan, the goal is not simply to run, but to learn how to run well—a challenge that continues to motivate him with every training session and every race.
Nathan has been taking part in the since he was a child, when he first lined up for the legendary Pirates Race. The event holds a special place in his heart. For Nathan and his family, UTHC is much more than a race weekend—it is an annual tradition, a retreat, and a gathering that has become part of their lives.
Today, Nathan represents a new generation of Québec trail runners who embody the Harricana spirit. He firmly believes that every trail runner should experience the pride of becoming a “Wolf” by crossing the finish line in Charlevoix. Returning to the 125 km event, he continues his pursuit of growth, performance, and adventure alongside the Harricana pack.
