Samantha Stimac is an American ultra trail runner based in rural Vermont, passionate about mountain running, endurance sports, and the outdoors. Working as a home health physical therapist in her local community, she helps people regain mobility, independence, and quality of life — a deeply human approach that also shapes the way she views sport and endurance.
A multi-dimensional athlete and creative spirit, Samantha balances her life between trail running, mountain adventures, gardening, art, and animals. Her favorite place, however, remains the trails, where she finds freedom, resilience, and a strong connection with nature.
The past year has been especially challenging, as she faced a complex injury that took more than a year to fully understand and properly address. Now healthy again and returning to training with confidence, Samantha enters this new season with renewed energy, gratitude, and excitement to pin a race bib back on.
In 2026, she will line up for the legendary 125 km race at , one of the most iconic and demanding ultra trail races in Canada. Her return to competition in the trails of Charlevoix represents an important milestone in her journey as she rediscovers the joy of running strong, healthy, and free once again.
