Simon Widmann is a trail runner originally from Vancouver, Canada, now based in Belgium. With several years of experience in mountain trail running and ultra-trail races around the world, he has built a strong profile on technical terrain and long-distance events.

Drawn to demanding and rugged courses, Simon sees ultra-trail running as both a physical challenge and a human adventure. Each race is an opportunity to learn, push limits, and cultivate patience, humility, and resilience.

In 2026, he will take on a major new challenge at the Ultra-Trail Harricana du Canada, attracted by the technical nature of the course, the wild landscapes of Charlevoix, and the authentic spirit of the event. He approaches this race with passion, deep respect for nature, and a committed mindset toward performance—values that strongly align with the DNA of UTHC.
