Mylène Sansoucy is an experienced ultra-trail athlete with a lifelong passion for endurance sports and long-distance running. After competing in road marathons from the age of 20, she gradually transitioned to trail running and ultra-trail, a discipline she has been fully dedicated to since 2017.
The Ultra-Trail Harricana du Canada (UTHC) has played a key role in her athletic journey. It was at Harricana that she earned her first ultra-trail podium finishes, delivering strong performances on the 65 km course in 2017 and 2019, the 80 km in 2018, and the demanding 125 km in 2022, showcasing both consistency and resilience on technical terrain in Charlevoix.
In 2025, Mylène stood out on the international stage at the Transgrancanaria 127 km, finishing 13th among the world’s elite athletes. Back in Québec, she continued her successful season with a 3rd place at the QMT 135 km, along with victories at the UTFS 80 km and the UTCC 88 km.

After several years competing on the Ironman circuit as a professional triathlete, I discovered a true passion for ultramarathons. With a PhD in sports science, I’m an exercise physiologist, coach, and podcaster (Le podcast du coach), driven by everything related to endurance and human performance.
After two challenging experiences on the UTHC 125 km, I’m returning this year with the goal of finally crossing the finish line with a smile and a sense of accomplishment. Dévrig is a hiking guide based in the French Pyrenees, where he spends most of his time on technical and demanding mountain trails. A passion-driven profession, this work has allowed him to develop strong mountain skills, terrain awareness and endurance—key assets in trail running and ultra-trail racing. He studied biology in Rimouski, Québec, where he lived for four years, focusing his research on the Northern gannets of Bonaventure Island. It was during this period, in Percé, that he discovered Québec’s trail running routes and quickly developed a deep connection with this unique environment. Dévrig fell in love with the mud, roots and technical nature of Québec trails, as well as with the mindset and strong sense of community that define the local trail running scene. After a few years away from the trails of Charlevoix, Laurence Laplante is making a highly anticipated return to the Ultra-Trail Harricana du Canada. A passionate trail runner and mother of two, she is known for her determination, resilience, and love of long-distance trail racing.
Laurence established herself as one of Quebec’s rising ultra-trail athletes after winning the 65K at UTHC in 2022, a breakthrough performance that revealed her competitive potential. She returned to the podium the following year, finishing third in the same event in 2023.
Recent seasons have been shaped by motherhood. In 2024, Laurence completed the Québec Mega Trail 50K while approximately 18 weeks pregnant before welcoming her second child on November 28, 2024. Her return to training and competition took longer than expected, but she has already shown signs of returning to top form with an impressive second-place finish at BU55 in 2026.
Now back in Charlevoix, Laurence is excited to discover the technical trails of Saint-Siméon and reconnect with the unique atmosphere that makes UTHC so special. Her experience, perseverance, and proven ability to perform on challenging terrain make her one of the athletes to watch this year.

Samantha Stimac is an American ultra trail runner based in rural Vermont, passionate about mountain running, endurance sports, and the outdoors. Working as a home health physical therapist in her local community, she helps people regain mobility, independence, and quality of life — a deeply human approach that also shapes the way she views sport and endurance.
A multi-dimensional athlete and creative spirit, Samantha balances her life between trail running, mountain adventures, gardening, art, and animals. Her favorite place, however, remains the trails, where she finds freedom, resilience, and a strong connection with nature.
The past year has been especially challenging, as she faced a complex injury that took more than a year to fully understand and properly address. Now healthy again and returning to training with confidence, Samantha enters this new season with renewed energy, gratitude, and excitement to pin a race bib back on.
In 2026, she will line up for the legendary 125 km race at , one of the most iconic and demanding ultra trail races in Canada. Her return to competition in the trails of Charlevoix represents an important milestone in her journey as she rediscovers the joy of running strong, healthy, and free once again.

Emmanuelle comes from a high-level cross-country skiing background, where she developed exceptional endurance before discovering her passion for trail running and ultra-trail racing. After a memorable first experience at the Bromont Ultra 55 in 2024, she quickly fell in love with the trails and the welcoming trail-running community.
In 2025, she earned a 3rd-place finish at the Trail de la Clinique du Coureur 30K, followed by another strong performance at the Ultra-Trail Harricana du Canada (UTHC) 65K. She also completed 100 km at her first Backyard Ultra, confirming her passion for endurance challenges.
The Ultra-Trail Harricana du Canada remains one of her favorite racing experiences. Returning for the Harricana 30K, Emmanuelle is eager to continue her progression, push her limits, and take on another unforgettable adventure on the trails of Charlevoix.

Karel is an emerging ultra-trail runner who reached the 100 km milestone in 2025 after several years of steady progression in trail running. Her journey began in 2021 at the Ultra-Trail Harricana of Canada (UTHC), where she lined up for the 28 km—one of her first trail racing experiences—on the demanding trails of Charlevoix, Quebec. Since then, she has returned regularly to this rugged territory that shaped her development.
After five years of endurance and mountain training, she now takes on the iconic UTHC 125 km, a flagship ultra-trail distance in Canada. Her approach is rooted in long-term growth, resilience, and pushing personal limits.
Deeply involved in the trail-running community, Karel organizes events, volunteers, and shares her journey through documentary film projects. Continuously seeking new mountain challenges, she also practices ice climbing, snowboarding, and mountaineering—disciplines that strengthen her versatility and adaptability in ultra-distance trail racing.

Justine will line up for the 125K Ultra-Trail Harricana du Canada with one clear goal: to take on the biggest challenge of her running career. A dedicated trail runner for more than five years, she has established herself as a strong long-distance athlete while continuing to enjoy racing a wide range of distances on both trails and roads. The UTHC 125K is her primary objective of the season and the longest race she has ever attempted. Excited to race on some of her favorite trails in Charlevoix, Justine is eager to discover just how far she can push her limits. Consistent and versatile, she has already delivered several impressive performances across a variety of events.

An endurance runner shaped between Quebec and Spain, Sara has been involved in trail running since 2014, when she first discovered the Ultra-Trail Harricana of Canada (UTHC) on the 28 km distance. Since then, she has built a strong background on demanding mountain races, developing great confidence on technical terrain with significant elevation gain.
Experienced in both mid-distance and long-distance formats, she approaches the UTHC 42 km St-Siméon with valuable ultra-trail experience gained on challenging courses across Europe and Canada. Her profile is defined by consistency, resilience, and a strong ability to manage effort on difficult terrain.
Coming from a mountainous region, Sara maintains a deep connection with nature and the trails. She runs to push her limits, to get lost in the forests, and to explore her potential, driven by unwavering determination—she has never dropped out of a race.

Based in Gaspésie, this athlete is a young mother and a passionate trail runner, deeply connected to the rugged landscapes of the Chic-Choc Mountains. Drawn to challenges, she made a successful return to competitive trail running in 2024, just one year after giving birth to her son, demonstrating strong physical and mental resilience.
During her second trail season in 2025, she competed in seven races, achieving her goal of finishing inside the top 10 in every event. A PhD candidate in political philosophy, she views trail running as a powerful way to organize her thoughts, disconnect from daily life, and maintain a strong mental and physical balance—essential qualities for success in trail and ultra-trail racing, including demanding events such as the Ultra-Trail Harricana du Canada (UTHC).

Maude Cyr is a trail runner for whom trail running is truly a way of life. A teacher and mother of two, she finds in trail running the balance between family life, work, and her need for freedom. Running in nature is her space to reset, challenge herself, and connect deeply with the outdoors.
Active year-round, Maude also practices snowshoe running and cross-country skiing during the winter. Deeply committed to social causes, she completed fundraising projects in 2022 and 2024 for Women Own Sounds in Whistler, running 110 km between Squamish and Pemberton on the Sea to Sky trail. In 2025, she supported the Fondation Jeunes en Tête by completing an 80 km run between Saint-Fabien and Métis-sur-Mer to raise awareness for youth mental health.
Regularly racing in British Columbia, she actively supports her local sports community. Maude will take on the 125 km at the Ultra-Trail Harricana of Canada (UTHC), a challenge that reflects her experience, resilience, and love for long-distance trail running.

Traditionally focused on shorter distances, Karla is stepping into ultra-long-distance racing in 2026 with her debut at the 125 km Ultra-Trail Harricana du Canada. This new challenge reflects her desire to push boundaries and embrace a format that rewards consistency, patience and adaptability.
