A passion-driven profession, this work has allowed him to develop strong mountain skills, terrain awareness and endurance—key assets in trail running and ultra-trail racing. He studied biology in Rimouski, Québec, where he lived for four years, focusing his research on the Northern gannets of Bonaventure Island. During his student years, the Ultra-Trail Harricana du Canada (UTHC) was already on his list of dream races, although he never had the opportunity to compete. After several years of careful preparation and progression in mountain terrain, he now believes that 2026 will be the right year to toe the starting line of one of the most demanding ultra-trail races in Canada. For Dévrig, racing the Ultra-Trail Harricana represents the realization of a long-standing dream.

During her second trail season in 2025, she competed in seven races, achieving her goal of finishing inside the top 10 in every event. A PhD candidate in political philosophy, she views trail running as a powerful way to organize her thoughts, disconnect from daily life, and maintain a strong mental and physical balance—essential qualities for success in trail and ultra-trail racing, including demanding events such as the Ultra-Trail Harricana du Canada (UTHC).

Active year-round, Maude also practices snowshoe running and cross-country skiing during the winter. Deeply committed to social causes, she completed fundraising projects in 2022 and 2024 for Women Own Sounds in Whistler, running 110 km between Squamish and Pemberton on the Sea to Sky trail. In 2025, she supported the Fondation Jeunes en Tête by completing an 80 km run between Saint-Fabien and Métis-sur-Mer to raise awareness for youth mental health.

35 years old

Karla Piccard is a Mexican endurance and trail athlete with strong experience on technical mountain terrain. She has competed in ultra-trail and extreme endurance events, including multiple UTMB-branded races, where elevation gain, technical trails and long hours of effort define the challenge.

Traditionally focused on shorter distances, Karla is stepping into ultra-long-distance racing in 2026 with her debut at the 125 km Ultra-Trail Harricana du Canada. This new challenge reflects her desire to push boundaries and embrace a format that rewards consistency, patience and adaptability.

With a racing philosophy centered on pacing strategy and efficient effort management, Karla’s strengths align naturally with the Harricana course. Known for its rugged terrain, technical trails and wild boreal forest setting, the 125 km offers the ideal stage for her first venture into this iconic ultra-trail distance.
