Ultra-Trail® Harricana is proud to introduce its Race Patron for the 2015 edition, The North Face athlete Sébastien Chaigneau. The star trail runner will be in Canada on September 19, running alongside UTHC participants on the trails in Charlevoix, Quebec.

“It’s an incredible honour for UTHC to welcome Sébastien Chaigneau,” said Harricana President and Race Director, Sébastien Côté. “He embodies all the values of trail running – respect, solidarity and pushing one’s limits. He’s a model for us all,” said Côté, who admits spending three years working to attract the in-demand runner. Sébastien Chaigneau has found himself on the podium at the largest trail races around the world. He has back-to-back wins at Transgrancanaria and top-three finishes at Ultra-Trail Mt. Fuji, Lavaredo Ultra Trail, and Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc, as well as many other races.

“I put the Harricana race on my calendar before other events that will determine the rest of my year,” said Sébastien Chaigneau. “It’s a really important event for me. I’ll be putting a lot of energy and enthusiasm into it.”
Sébastien Chaigneau assumes the role of Race Patron under this year’s theme of “Quebec – France”. The 2015 race will honour France’s passion for trail running by inviting several French athletes to participate.
