Geneviève Asselin-Demers

  • Will participate in UTHC 125 Race details
  • Sex : Woman
  • Country : Canada

A recent trail runner and certainly one of the sport’s most promising, Geneviève Asselin-Demers is a former high-performance road racer.  She won the Montreal Marathon in 2015.

Geneviève is taking up trail running in 2021. In 2022, Geneviève accumulated several races and podiums in preparation for the 125 km Ultra-Trail Harricana du Canada. She finished third in the women’s race, smiling from start to finish. More earlier in 2022, she won the women’s Trans-Percé 100 km (3rd place overall).

The 2023 season starts early, with The Canyons by UTMB major in April, where she finishes 14th. In early June, Geneviève was part of the Canadian delegation at the World Trail and Mountain Running Championships in Austria, where she placed 52nd in the long distance event. In July, she won the QMT110, 1st in the women’s category and 7th overall. She returns to the UTHC in September and we’re looking forward to seeing what she can achieve on the course.
