Jean-François Cauchon

An avid outdoorsman and a lifelong hiker, Jean-François started Ultras in 2014 with a bet with his sister Élisabeth and two of his cousins. He immediately fell in love with trail running, which seemed to be the logical next step in his quest to surpass himself. This is how Team Chauchon was born.

Jean-François is a well-known athlete in the UTHC family. He indeed participated in 7 editions of the event. He won the 125 km twice, in 2016 and 2018, the 42 km Classic in 2021, and took 2^nd place on the 42 km St-Siméon the next day.

In addition to the UTHC, Jean-François has an impressive track record, including 2^nd place on the QMT 100 miles in 2022, 1^st place on the TransMartinique in 2019 and 2018, and 1^st place on the Bromont Ultra 160 km in 2018.
