Rémi is a 29-year-old trail runner who stands out in most of the races he runs. Rémi Poitras took first place in last year’s UTHC 80 km race and finished the 65 km first ex aequo with Keven Vermeulen in 2017. In 2019, he won the 42 km classic. The 125 km distance was the logical next step for this New Brunswick athlete.

Rémi also won the Gaspesia 100 in relay in June 2019. In 2022, solo this time, he won the 106 km.

“This sport gives me some balance in life, which can sometimes be hard to fully appreciate in the moment. I love being part of new adventures, discovering new trails and meeting new people. I look forward to running a few klicks with you!”

We are delighted to have this athlete back at the UTHC!
