A native of Bourgogne, Cédric Chavet is the number one French athlete in 100 km events in the Master 2 category (ages 45–49). A Team Globetrailers athlete, he has been on the trail circuit for 20 years now.

A former soldier turned coach and Trail Camp organizer, Cédric has finished 44 races in his career. He has 7 ultra-trail victories and 19 international podium finishes. He took the spotlight in 2020 when he won one of the most difficult races in France, L’Échappée Belle (149 km, 11,400 m of elevation gain). In 2021, he finished 2nd in the 110 km (8,800 m elevation gain) at the Montreux Trail Festival in Switzerland and 4th at La Diagonale des Fous in La Réunion.

Now approaching his fifties, Cédric is still pushing the boundaries. Never happier than when on rough and technical trails, he will be discovering the trails of Charlevoix during the UTHC 125 km with friend and long-time teammate Antoine Guillon.
