Elite and Featured Athletes Welcoming Program
UTHC 2025 Elite and Featured Athlete Welcome Program
Ultra-Trail Harricana™ of Canada presents its new Elite and Featured Athlete Welcome Program for the 2025 edition.
The program is divided into two categories:
1. Elite Program: Free registration for athletes meeting ITRA criteria
Athletes who meet the eligibility requirements will receive free registration for the following three distances only:
- 125 km
- 42 km St-Siméon
- 28 km
Eligibility criteria:
- Men: Minimum ITRA score of 750
- Women: Minimum ITRA score of 625
Athletes who do not meet the ITRA criteria may submit an application explaining their background. These applications may be accepted with a 50% discount on registration fees.
Key dates:
- Application deadline: July 1, 2025
- Responses sent by: July 15, 2025
- Athletes must fill out the application form.
- Accommodation support may be requested and will be subject to committee review.
No travel expenses will be reimbursed.
2. Featured Athlete Program: Visibility and Influence in Service of UTHC
This category is intended for media representatives, public figures, influencers, and dedicated community members.
Criteria and conditions:
- Free registration for the distance of their choice.
- Candidates must submit an application outlining their commitment to promoting the event through their social media, media, or other platforms.
- Accommodation support may be requested and will be subject to committee review.
Key dates:
- Application deadline: July 1, 2025
- Responses sent by: July 15, 2025
No travel expenses will be reimbursed.
Application Review Process
A committee composed of UTHC organizers and former elite athletes will evaluate applications based on the following criteria:
- Visibility (social media reach, community involvement, media presence)
- Sporting performance for elite athletes (ITRA score, victories, rankings)
- Commitment to promoting UTHC
Common Conditions for All Participants in Both Programs:
- All participants will be featured in UTHC communication channels.
- Invited athletes and featured figures must attend the launch press conference (Thursday evening).
